The Shelby Shines On Foundation is pleased to announce a $500 scholarship to be awarded to a qualifying senior at Newton County's Eastside High School.
Shelby’s life was a testament of love and kindness. She was surrounded by those who believe in inclusivity and mutual respect for all as much as she did.
To honor Shelby’s legacy, this scholarship will be awarded to a student who promotes inclusivity in their community and has illustrated through their actions inclusion of peers with special needs to promote a valuable, jointly rewarding experience.
To apply, students must:

Be on schedule to graduate in the current year from Eastside High School

Have been accepted to a college/university, trade school, apprenticeship, or registered for military service for the next calendar school year

Have a letter of recommendation from an administrator or teacher who can speak on your character and has knowledge of your actions

Have parent/guardian complete a release form

Complete the online application and essay or video
