Spreading Shelby's light.

THE SPARKLE FUND
Removing roadblocks
Creating possibilities.

Shelby lived a big, full life filled with adventures, experiences, connection and joy. The Sparkle Fund was created to help remove some of the roadblocks that can keep individuals with special needs from doing the same.

Why the Sparkle Fund exists.
Shelby showed us what a full life can look like.
Shelby loved an adventure. She traveled, explored, celebrated, laughed, made memories and experienced life surrounded by people who loved her.
We wanted Shelby to experience as much of life as possible. Our family traveled, explored, celebrated, laughed, made memories and found adventures together. When there was something Shelby wanted to do, we did our best to find a way to say "yes!"
Along the way, we also came to understand that saying yes isn’t always easy. For families caring for someone with special needs, sometimes a financial or practical roadblock can stand between “I wish we could” and “Yes, let’s do it.”
That understanding is at the heart of the Sparkle Fund.
Through Shelby Shines On, we want to help remove some of those roadblocks for other individuals and families—opening the door to new experiences, greater independence, meaningful connections, special memories, and opportunities that might otherwise feel out of reach.
This is one of the ways we are keeping
Shelby’s light shining...
by helping someone else find their yes.

Sometimes a little help can open a big door.
Every person’s story is different. The Sparkle Fund is about helping remove the roadblocks that can stand between someone with special needs and a fuller life. That might look like…

Making memories that might otherwise be out of reach.

Helping someone take the next step toward doing more for themselves.

Opening doors to activities, friendships, community and belonging.

Providing practical resources that can open the door to something more.
Every person's story is different. If there is a roadblock we haven't listed here, tell us about it.
Know Someone Who Could Use a Little Sparkle?
Maybe someone came to mind while you were reading this.
A family member. A friend. Someone you work with or care for. Maybe even yourself.
If there’s a roadblock standing between someone with special needs and an opportunity to experience more joy, connection, independence or simply more of life, tell us their story.
You don’t have to decide whether the request “fits.” That’s our job. Tell us who they are, what’s standing in the way, and what could become possible with a little help.
Let’s see if Shelby’s sparkle can help find a way to yes.

Love loudly. Live boldly.
