If the First Annual Shelby Shines On Golf Tournament proved anything, it’s that this community knows how to show up, show out… and maybe stir up a little golf course shenanigans along the way.

On a beautiful June morning at Ashton Hills Golf Club, golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters gathered for a day that was equal parts competition, camaraderie, and celebration of Shelby’s vibrant spirit. From the first cup of coffee at check-in to the final putt of the afternoon, the course was buzzing with laughter, friendly trash talk, and the unmistakable feeling that something really special was happening.

And y’all showed up in a big way.

Teams filled the course. Sponsors stepped up generously. Volunteers kept everything running smoothly. And somewhere between the mulligans, raffle tickets, and “that definitely should’ve gone in the hole” moments, Shelby’s light was shining everywhere.

There were great shots. There were questionable shots. There were probably a few golf balls that are still missing somewhere in the woods.

But most importantly, there was a lot of heart. 🪩

Because every swing, every sponsorship, and every raffle ticket helped support the mission of Shelby Shines On — celebrating Shelby’s life while funding scholarships, supporting research, and creating meaningful experiences for families of children with special needs.

One of the most beautiful parts of the day was seeing how many people came together to support this cause. Friends, businesses, families, and community members all rallying around the same purpose: to keep Shelby’s light shining.
